I cant fucking handle any of them anymore.

All of the funny posts and memes, all of the insightful intelligent social commentary, it just can’t make up for how fucking stupid some people are.
It’s not good for my blood pressure.

So to all the lovely people.
Be well and good luck.

To all the stupid people with your stupid fucking posts of utter stupidity, fuck you, they should take your fucking routers away.
There should be a fucking iq test before you’re granted access to the Internet.

Fuck off with your epic fucking fuckery you fucking fuckety fuck buckets.

Just stop typing your garbage and go read a fucking book.

thisisthinprivilege:

Thin privilege is not being taught to hate your body so much that you considered stealing your mother’s artificial thyroid hormone pills to lose weight… when you were eleven.

All women are taught to hate their bodies. This is not restricted to fat women.

However there is not a multi-billion dollar industry dedicated to telling you to gain weight. Somehow I doubt anyone has ever considered stealing meds to gain weight. Thin privilege is living in a world where fat women are told to get thin or they’re worthless, average women are told they are fat and should trim down a bit, and skinny women are told to eat a sandwich.

Okay…. rant coming…

If there’s an economic incentive to convince people of something so they are more susceptible to buying consumer goods to ‘fix’ themselves, someone is going to try to do it and they do not give a fuck about you or how you are meant to live in the world that they are creating for you. Don’t think the whole world is against you, the primary interest groups who want you to feel horrible and insecure or ugly or unworthy.etc are very specific and they can be targeted and changed to benefit everyone once people recognise what is happening.

Traditional market analysis- “see a demand/need that is uncatered for, create a product for it”

Corporate Marketing: “Create a need, cater for that artificial need”

Create a need: “You smell bad and this makes you unattractive”
Fill a need: “buy Axe deodorant”
Create a need: “you will never be as attractive as this women”
Fill a need: “you can be more attractive with our makeup”
Create a need:”you are too large”
Fill a need: “slimfast/diet pills/cosmetics/gym memberships”
Create a need: “the woman in this dress has been photoshopped so no human being looks as flawless as she does”
Fill a need: “you can try- if you buy this dress. Look how gorgeous she looks in it, You can be gorgeous too” (the old spice ad could have been a parody of this)
Create a need: “real/attractive men are bulky, lean, trim and muscular, tall and drive hot cars”
Fill a need: “protein supplements, powders, gym memberships, platform shoes and Subaru WRX’s”

Whatever they can tell you to make you want to buy things, they WILL tell you. They don’t care how it makes you feel. They don’t care about the people who cannot achieve what is being sold to them. If you don’t buy their shit or it wouldn’t work for you anyway, you aren’t their target market, they don’t give a shit about you, they don’t give a shit about their customers. They care about one thing. Money.

What they are targeting is untapped potential insecurity in the average person- giving them goals that seem barely within-reach if they change their natural lifestyles dramatically like starving themselves- and there are lots of wonderful and helpful or motivational or forceful products and services to help you on your way to becoming an ideal that has been sold to you and many others! NOTHING makes people more inclined to buy into something than someone offering them a problem (real or imaginary) AND a solution in a neat little bundle! It’s drawing the horse with a perpetually out-of-reach carrot but with a subscription fee, making the horse pay for the privilege of starving!

Forget about what the ‘world’ tells us. What part of the ‘world’ is telling you this or has ever told you this?! Corporate fucking media and the people who have bought into their bullshit.

Corporate media: are interested in you feeling insecure and unhappy so you will buy their shit and watch their shit and think you’re on your way to becoming a better person for it.

People who have bought their shit: have a substantial personal investment in the shit they have been sold being true! They will vilify you for violating the narrative that they have swallowed hook, line and sinker! They will DEFEND the greedy interests that have made them and you miserable!

If you’re aware of the console-wars among fanboys of Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo then you can see that this is the same pathetic bullshit being fought out in real life! Companies LOVE it when people put each other into boxes or push the agenda they have bought onto other people! It’s like free advertising for their product and they get to keep their hands clean of any actual social stigmatization!

Here’s how we can begin solving it. Take what YOU think is beautiful. Believe THAT. Preach THAT. If you think something is good, fuck if it’s unpopular, fuck if it’s not in style, if you think it’s good, lovely, beautiful, wonderful- to quote Bill Hicks - “YOU’RE RIGHT!!!! YOU’RE RIGHT!! NOT THOSE OTHER PEOPLE TELLING YOU HOW TO THINK!!! YOU’RE FUCKING RIGHT!!!!”

They’re sending the message about what their notion of beauty is. But you have social media now. You have voices that can be heard, faces that can be seen. Share everything you think is beautiful and wake people up from the bullshit they have been swallowing for the last 50-100 years!!

So many of you have been doing this already but don’t feel it’s insurmountable. The people and groups perpetuating this culture of shaming women’s bodies have names and faces! Their brands, their products, you can recognise them in magazines everywhere. Their words are published!

Society acts on you? You ARE society!! Every one of you!!
Those who fall further outside of the ‘accepted’ norm will ALWAYS have it harder. THAT is a fact. Don’t let this divide you, the bullshit is being spoonfed to everyone!
Take back the notion of beauty from magazines, fashion designer companies television, hollywood and other greedy sociopathic corporate interests and return it to the real world where it belongs!

I’ll undoubtedly see so much here I’d want to re-word or re-edit but I had to get this out of my system. If you keep diverting this into a pissing contest of who’s had it worse, the assholes win and you all lose!

Social justice warriors

Congratulations you have left behind total and utter ignorance and are now able to see suffering in the world in its most obvious forms.
You see oppression, you see discrimination against minority groups, you see bigotry.

This is the first rung of the ladder.

Next you need to step up and see that the suffering and oppression of one group is not the direct fault and responsibility of the ‘opposing’ group. in our world few control the many and the majority of people you claim are ‘in power’ have no power at all.

That’s rung 2

Next you start to see suffering in the majority groups, you notice that some of this suffering is also a direct cause of the system you previous blamed them for. They’re not all kings after all.

That’s rung 3.

Then you realise that the entire population of the world is suffering, including those actually responsible for oppression, and those that cause pain to others. You see suffering in every man woman and child on earth. Suddenly even the actual kings aren’t kings, they’re as blind and scared as the rest of us.

You are on the path to enlightenment.

Social justice bloggers,
It’s awesome if you’ve made it to rung one. But please keep climbing. The view gets clearer and clearer.

Cultural appropriation.

Today I punched a little french girl in the face for wearing a Yankees cap.

Just doing my bit.

So I was watching Brazil play football the other day and I couldn’t contain my rage.
I tried to keep quiet but I just couldn’t.

Neymar collected the ball and with one deft touch lost his marker,

The rage boiled.

A step over and a burst of energy and he found his way into the box.
The last two defenders looked nervous as he paused for a second and weighed up his options.

I started to shake. My blood pressure was going through the roof.
I’ve never been so angry.

with the outside of his boot he flicked the ball right making just enough space to take the shot, just enough time to glance towards the upper right corner…

THIS IS CULTURAL APPROPRIATION I SCREAMED AS I KICKED MY TELEVISION TO PIECES.. FOOTBALL IS FUCKING ENGLISH.
HOW DARE HE…
HOW DARE THEY..

CULTURAL…. FUCKING…. APPROPRIATORS…

This is fucking bullshit.
The people that are sound minded enough to want equality for all people, want equality for all people.

Nearly everyone else just wants to fight/thinks it’s a game your ‘side’ can somehow win.

You don’t fucking get it.
Equality doesn’t have winners.
It’s a fucking draw.
Nobody wins, nobody loses.

Have you any idea how easy it should be to organise a draw?

What I’ve witnessed on this website so far is that those that understand equality, understand equality and those that don’t, don’t.

Rarely have I witnessed a conversion.

White woman Dita von Teese wears a sari and South Asian jewelry despite the fact that she has no connection to South Asian culture at all.
White woman Dita von Teese decided to wear a bra rather than an actual blouse because who the fuck cares if she’s hypersexualizing brown women.
White woman Dita von Teese has a history of using other people’s cultural dress in her burlesque shows because racism, cultural appropriation, and hypersexualization of WoC are completely made-up concepts.
Basically, how long before this bitch incorporates a sari into one of her damned burlesque routines and then proceeds to take it off for men with too much power and money?
HOW FUCKING LONG?

Let’s not forget the shadeism that this will contribute too, desi women have been suffering shitloads for not having skin fair enough and then these white women parade around in our clothing and people encourage it because “it looks more beautiful on their bodies/skin color.”
How long before I stop hearing, “don’t go out in the sun, if you tan then no one will marry you”?

As a brown girl who has huge appreciation for Dita Von Teese, allow me to butt into both of your very ignorant debates. This picture was taken in New Delhi where she was she invited by Indians to a ball that was held in her honor as the new brand ambassador of the liquor brand  Contreu. So no, there was no stripping of Sari for any men, rich or poor.
And the sari and blouse that she is wearing was actually presented to her by two Indian fashion designers under the same fashion house, ‘Shivan & Naresh’. She was also presented with 27 different Saris based on 9 color palettes which she wore throughout her stay. So your claim about her wearing a bra instead of a blouse and hypersexualizing brown women is completely irrelevent because it’s the Indians that designed it for her, not her. That’s not even a bra, it’s a corset which is something that she is well-known for. And oh wait, didn’t Bipasha Basu wear a bra-like blouse at the IIFA awards last year? HmmSo no, this collection of Saris that she was presented with and very gracefully wore it has got nothing to do with her burlesque routines. In fact, by donning on these saris, she is actually helping to give more exposure to the Indian fashion designers to the world because the fact is, unless you’re Manish Malhotra, Indian designers do not get much help from the big names in the film industry .
You want to talk about color? A white woman being white?  Let’s talk about how Katrina Kaif even got into the film industry first okay? She’s a white woman who is portrayed as Indian in most of her films. She has to keep her hair dark and even has to tan or bronze up her body at times, so that she can look, ‘Indian’. I don’t see anyone screaming at the top of their lungs for that? In fact, she is working with the best names in the industry which shows that she is appreciated. And if someone is comparing your skin color to another woman of another race, that person is mental. Open your mouth and tell the person off the next time they criticize you for your skin color.
This picture is nothing more than Dita Von Teese in a Shivan & Narresh sari in New Delhi as the new ambassador of Contreu.
If you want change, then i think we’ve got to change our mentalities first as brown people because clearly, we’ve got issues.
